The Council holds Basic Training for Commissioners as well as an annual conference called the College of Commissioner Science.  The Basic Training is intended for new Commissioners or those Commissioners that missed the opportunity to take the session when they first volunteered for the position.  The College of Commissioner Science is a multi-year session intended for the Commissioner that has completed the Basic Training and offers specialized sessions in different areas of Commissioner Service.   The college is held once per year while the Basic Training may be held several times at different locations in different districts.  Commissioners are encouraged to seek out the earliest possible Basic Training opportunity after their appointment to the position.  Training sessions with neighboring Councils are also available
