What is Wood Badge?

WOOD BADGE is the advanced scout leader training course. Begun in 1919 by Lord Baden-Powell, founder of Scouting and Wood Badge’s first director, it came to America in 1948. Continually updated to reflect the current BSA policies and programs, incorporate the latest material and utilize the techniques available, Wood Badge has become the most advanced leadership training course in Scouting!

To learn more about the opportunities in Wood Badge Training and the Council Wood Badge Course, please visit the course for this year!
