What is a Pow Wow?
Pow Wow is a day designed to give Cub Scout leaders a chance to get and share new
ideas on building the best possible program for their Cub Scouts. Leaders will have the
opportunity to learn and take part in new ceremonies, skits, craft ideas, as well as
receive the latest information on the Viking Councils program for the upcoming year!

        What subjects are covered?
We are offering dozens of different classes on topics from den themes to effective
communications, from Tiger Cub activities to Webelos Activity Pins, from advancements to
adult recognitions. You name it, we probably have it (or something close).
        Who should attend?
Any person working with Cub Scouts should attend. This includes new leaders or
leaders with years of experience. Parents are welcome too! All you need is a willingness
        to have fun.
        What do I bring?
Wear your uniform. Bring some paper and pencils to take notes. Bring a camera and
perhaps a tape recorder. Bring a friend! Don't forget your humor, good will and a smile,
and maybe a little money for the midway. While Cub Scouting is for families, this is
an adult only event. Child care is not available, and children will have nothing
to do. So please don't bring your children.
        How do I sign up?
Passes will be appearing at local stations (Roundtables) in August, September, and
October. You may also make reservations at the main terminal (Service Center). Tickets
will also be printed in the council newspaper, the Viking Log.
